Please note, the Institute of  Cartography and Geoinformation is located on the modern ETH Zurich Hönggerberg Campus, north of the city of Zurich. The offices are in the building HIL, which is just next to the public bus station.

The Institute of Cartography and Geoinformation is located in the HIL building. At the main entrance door (to the left of the Campus Info desk), please use the elevator "10" and leave the elevator at the "G" floor. The secretariat of the institute is at your left hand side in room G 25.1. If you get lost on the way, ask for the Campus Info desk next to the main entrance hall of the HIL building.

Travelling by car

Leave the Autobahn A1 at the Regensdorf/Zch-Affoltern exit. Take the main road in the direction of Zurich. At the second light turn right in the direction of ETH Hönggerberg (signposted). Follow the road uphill. On top turn right to the Campus ETH Hönggerberg. Enter the HIG parking, the entrance is below the bridge. Use floors A or B. Parking is subject to charge, take a ticket at the gate. Follow the signs to the HIL building. When leaving, the pay machine is in the courtyard next to the spiral stair.

Travelling by public transport

From Zurich airport by rail and bus

At the airport take a train to Zurich-Oerlikon station. From "Oerlikon Nord" bus station take bus no. 80 (direction "Triemlispital") as far as the "ETH Hönggerberg" stop. The brown HIL building is next to the bus stop.

From Zürich HB (Central station) by tram and bus

In Zurich main station (Zurich HB), cross the large main hall in the direction of the tram and bus stop "Bahnhofquai". Take Tram no. 11 (direction "Auzelg") as far as "Bucheggplatz". From there, take bus no. 69 (direction ETH Hönggerberg) as far as the terminus “ETH Hönggerberg”. The brown HIL building is next to the bus stop.
